Dear Parents, 

    I just wanted to let you know what Troop 552 is all about. Troop 552 is a very active troop. Our goals are to help you child develop social skills, community awareness, positive character, respect for nature, outdoor survival skills, and leadership skills.  We meet Monday nights from 7:30pm to 9:00pm at Western Oaks Christian Church.  Our meetings are structured in a manner which will help your child obtain the highest rank in scouting, The Eagle Scout.  We attempt to have a campout at least one weekend per month.  Our schedule is very flexible and often changes around the needs of the majority of the troop.  Our troop can not function without the your help.  Your boys need your help with campouts and fundraisers.  Our adult leaders can not perform all tasks by themselves.  Our Mother's Auxiliary has traditionally been responsible for fund raising events, special events, and our troop clothes closet.  Parents are always welcome to join us during our regular scheduled scout meetings, committee meetings, outings, and campouts.  If you have an extra hour a week, we welcome your help.  Scouting is about the boys and Troop 552 has always put the boys above everything else.  With your help and encouragement we can teach the boys the skills needed to be a responsible citizen and a well-rounded individual.
